About Brooke Wright

Hello and welcome to my personal interior design website and blog. I have a long history in residential construction and interior design. Over the years I have "lost my way" and left the interior design field for more stable income sources. Also, after college I was not comfortable putting my work out there. However, what I realize is there is never a good time. I can always come up with an excuse, and no one is going to believe in me more than I believe in myself.

I bought my first home at only 23 years old, before marriage. I find many people amazed that I was only 23 and impressed by my knowledge of interior design and residential construction. I really hope this website helps others realize they can buy and design a home to be everything they want on a budget, at any age and even by themselves. Thankfully, I now have an awesome husband to do all the heavy lifting!

Something really important about where I am now versus when I started in interior design (~2013) is I have a house of my own. Therefore, I understand first hand how exhausting designing a home is, and how frustrating spending money can become. I will never advise someone to spend money on something I wouldn't myself, and no matter how much or little someone wants to spend on their home I can make it beautiful. In my own home I have a mix of expensive and inexpensive items. The majority though, are inexpensive. What makes my home look expensive is how I design, decorate and space plan. I do not buy something just to fill a space, for everything is thought out and has a purpose.

Execution is key in interior design.
